Star Valley Events offers Sip & Shop Local: A Market for Mom

Star Valley Events LLC’s Sip & Shop Local, a Market for Mom is happening Friday and Saturday, May 8-9 at the Alpine Civic Center.  Friday evening is Ladies Night from 4-7 p.m., On Saturday, doors are open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Guests both Friday and Saturday are invited to donate at the door to Wyoming Welcomes the Wall That Heals, which will receive all proceeds from the fair.

Ladies Night will offer beverages that guests can enjoy while they shop, as well as a scavenger hunt to add some adventure to the evening’s shopping activities. The first 50 ladies to arrive will receive a rose as a special door prize. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are provided by Prohibition Outpost, and dirty sodas are available from Sip & Co.

Guests on Friday and Saturday can purchase raffle tickets for two large gift baskets with raffle tickets selling for $5 each. Folks who follow Star Valley Events LLC on Facebook can enter a giveaway on the page for a $75 gift certificate and $50 gift certificate for Market Bucks that ladies can use to purchase their favorite items.

Offering over 30 vendors, the fair features a “wide variety of items,” according to Christa Tidwell, who is organizing the event. Meals are available for purchase from Dinner’s Ready.

Booths will offer goods and services from Wyoming by Design with vintage jade items. There will be locally produced dog food, locally authored books, handmade cards, tallow products, baked goods, custom Chukar hats, food-based natural medicine, pure vanilla, Salt River Soap Works, permanent jewelry, 3-D printed items, honey, Circle H Wagyu Beef, candles, sublimation arts, Essential Wellness Solutions, freshies and Star Valley Woodworks with handmade wood items.

“With the price of gas, we need to shop locally,” said Tidwell. “Wyoming Welcomes the Wall that Heals will be there selling raffle tickets and taking donations at the door from those who wish to support the Wall’s cause. All that money goes directly to them and this is something to do with your mother for Mother’s Day.”
