Independent Notes: Invitations for Shute Creek presentations in Kemmerer and Afton. Legislation summarizing the strength of Wyoming mineral based economy.

In May I made arrangements to bring ExxonMobile, Shute Creek in for presentations in Kemmerer and Afton.
They agreed. The invitation was prompted by the many meetings I attend and the discussions I have with those in the Wyoming’s Energy Industry on a regular bases.
One point I want to emphasized with the Shute Creek operations, located between Kemmerer and LaBarge, centered on the regional economic impact to Southwest Wyoming.
That impact is about $100 million annually in taxes and payroll.
What does that do for Lincoln County? What does it do for Sweetwater County area?
It helps keep their communities thriving with services and basic infrastructure.
In addition to the invitations and the meetings I coordinated for the ExxonMobil Shute Creek in our Lincoln County communities, I called for a legislative study to help us better understand the impact of energy across the state.
Here is just a sampling and I’ll share more at another date.
In part my legislation offered a study that indicated revenues from mineral and energy production have provided nearly $17.8 billion for the state and $10.8 billion in local revenue over the last 10 years.
That is just a part of what makes Wyoming thrive and with the backing of the current presidential administration and congressional delegation in Washington D.C. backing our Wyoming energy industry, we have an optimistic future.
I am proud to call Wyoming my home!
