• Over 100 art pieces available for purchase
The Star Valley Arts Council’s third annual Art Auction Fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, July 10 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. as part of the week-long Hometown Heroes celebration in Downtown Afton’s East Alley. This year’s auction offers a Buy It Now price to purchasers online or on location at the auction site.
All proceeds benefit the SVAC in its mission to provide art exposure and education to the residents and guests of Star Valley.

“This fundraiser is a wonderful opportunity to support the arts while taking home a unique piece of original artwork,” said Lxi Weber, who serves as Executive Director of the SVAC. “Every bid helps us continue bringing quality arts programming, workshops, and performances to our community.”
Over 100 original pieces, created by local and regional artists, are available through the auction, which will be a silent auction this year. Bidders are invited to submit their bids between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on July 10 by visiting the SVAC vending booth at the Hometown Heroes event or through the bidding portal at starvalleyarts.org. Collectors can preview all pieces by visiting the auction fundraiser link on the arts council website between now and the morning of the auction.

In addition to pieces available for auction purchase, the arts council is offering a raffle opportunity for collectors to acquire a one-of-a-kind hand carved cow skull, valued at $600. Raffle ticket sales are open now at starvalleyarts.org or can be purchased at the fundraiser event. Tickets are $10 each, or 12 for $100. The raffle drawing will take place Friday evening. You do not need to be present to win, and the winner will be notified on Saturday.
Buyers and winning bidders can pick up their purchases between 8 and 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening. Shipping options are also available for buyers and winners who are not local or who need their art pieces shipped for any reason.
“This auction showcases the incredible talent of local and regional artists, and we’re excited to invite the community to come browse, bid, and celebrate the arts together,” said Weber. “Whether you’re an experienced collector or purchasing your first piece of art, there’s something for everyone.”
