LeAnna Skinner
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, LeAnna Stokes Skinner on August 18, 2026, at the age of 77. Mom peacefully left this earthly life surrounded by her family after her challenging battle with cancer.
LeAnna was born April 16, 1949, to Marva and DeVere Stokes. She was raised in the towns of Promontory and Brigham City, Utah. She graduated from Box Elder High school and LDS Business College.
She married the love of her life Robert F. Skinner March 26, 1971, in the Logan Utah temple. Together they built a beautiful life in Bedford Wyoming, Brigham City and Tremonton Utah, making lifelong friends everywhere they went. Their home was filled with love, laughter, chaos, and delicious food.
LeAnna was always busy doing something, whether it was teaching young men in the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts or decorating birthday and wedding cakes. She was always scrap-booking and doing more crafts than we can ever name.
Mom always said she was a good girl until meeting Robert, where he was well known for dragging her along for his shenanigans. From painting Preston’s sheep in the middle of the night, to toilet papering the inside of her uncle Chester’s milk barn. She also learned to milk cows, ride horses, and went on many adventures with her husband and family.
LeAnna ran several small businesses, the most notable being Creative Receptions, which she ran with her sister Sharon and sister-in-law Valorie. It was a great outlet for her creativity, from decorating wedding cakes, and designing floral arrangements, to backdrops, and decorations.
Her older grandkids called her the paparazzi because she was always taking photos. And the younger ones could always count on grandma having treats to share with them.
Mom and dad spent the last seven years before retirement traveling all over the United States and Canada doing scrapbook expos, where she got to meet and make many amazing friends and got to see a lot of beautiful country.
LeAnna is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Where she served as a scout leader, scout secretary, ward missionary, served with the relief society presidency, and nursery leader.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and her brother Layne.
She is survived by her husband Robert, her children Elma (Brian) Bessinger, Nikki Skinner, Matthew Skinner, Jarred Skinner, Carrie (Cliff) Howard, and Randy (Lisa) Skinner. Grandchildren Tracee (Michael), Mackenzie (John), Amy (Ron), Kennadee, Dominic, Clifford Damion, Conner, Alena, Caylie, Aurora, Aviendha, and Freya. Great grandchildren Kyson and Serenity. Sisters Sharon and Geri and brother Lynn. Many nieces and nephews and countless dear friends and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 11 A.M. Viewings will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 6-8 P.M. and prior to the service from 9-10:30 A.M. All services will be held at the Tremonton South Stake Center (1150 S Tremont St- Tremonton). Interment will take place following the services at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery. Funeral Services for Larry Call will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 12 Noon in the Afton Tabernacle.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
