Carrying MaryAnn’s Promise For Lucky’s Place Forward: One Gift, One Life at a Time

Provided by Lucky’s Place
From the animals who found comfort in her arms to the volunteers she inspired every day, MaryAnn has been the beating heart of Lucky’s Place since its very beginning.
When she moved to Wyoming in 1998, there was no shelter. There was no safety net for the lost, abandoned, and abused animals of Star Valley. So, she built one, together with her husband Ron, with a handful of volunteers, and more love than most people carry in a lifetime.
Over the years, and built on her love, she has given over 7,000 animals the chance to heal, be loved, and find their forever homes. MaryAnn gave our community something it never had but desperately needed: a place where compassion lives and where healing and hope are possible.
Every wag, every purr, every family that finds itself completed with an adoption, and every grateful heart at the shelter carries a piece of MaryAnn’s love. We are all here because of her.
Thank you, MaryAnn. Second chances in Star Valley, Wyoming, exist because of YOU.
In her honor, we’re asking you, our community, to help us carry her legacy forward. As MaryAnn steps into retirement, we’re celebrating her work and passion that no animal is left without the care they need. Your donation helps ensure her love lives on in every rescued life we save.
Because MaryAnn didn’t just build a shelter.
She built a promise.
“It’s all for the animals.”
Lucky’s Place always has and always will run on love, yours. Our shelter is only able to remain a safe haven for the homeless, lost, and abandoned animals because of the support we receive from our supporters. Without the compassion and generosity of our community near and far, none of this would be possible. Every warm bed, every full bowl, every second chance… it all comes from you. Let’s keep the promise Lucky’s Place was built on alive, together.
