Flags to fly at half-staff through Wednesday

President Donald Trump speaks during election night in the East Room of the White House on Nov. 4.

The U.S. flag will be flown at half-staff after President Donald Trump made a Sunday proclamation ordering the action to show respect for a pair of U.S. Capitol Police officers who died as part of last Wednesday’s protest as well as all members of law enforcement across the nation.

The President cited Officers Brian D. Sicknick and Howard Liebengood.

President Trump stated the order will stand at the White House and all federal buildings through sunset on Wednesday.

Governor Mark Gordon has ordered both the U.S. and State of Wyoming flags be flown at half-staff statewide until sunset Wednesday as well.
