March 30: Sierra Mitchell, Afton Food Pantry

During the current COVID-19 epidemic, the need for donations to local food banks is as high as it’s ever been.  Sierra Mitchell with the Afton Food Pantry joined Duke Dance during the Weekday Wake-up, explaining that most food banks in the region only have enough food to meet the growing demand for the next three weeks.  Items specifically in need are canned meat, cereal, pasta, canned fruit and vegetables and canned soup.

Information for local food banks and pantries can be found on the new statewide website dedicated to fighting hunger during the COVID-19 outbreak.  That website is NoHungerWyo.org and gives county by county information for the entire state of Wyoming.
