Star Valley Ranch has approved funding for summer related events, first for the Vietnam War Memorial visit July 9-12 and a Bridger-Teton National Forest Ambassador program for the town’s area trail system.
The memorial, “The Wall That Heals,” will be on display at the Star Valley Middle School football field and is expected to draw regional visitation for the event, The town council approved $12,000 to assist.
The ambassador program will assist with trail outreach on a series of trails connecting the community to the neighboring national forest. The council approved, $12,597 for the summer project.
Funding for both comes from the town’s lodging tax funds.
In other news related to the Star Valley Ranch Town Council, two ordinances were given third and final approval.
Ordinance 2026-09 Business Regulations and Ordinance 2026-03 Title XV Land Usage were approved.
Regulations for short term rentals were specified with the Business regulations, while changes with the Land Usage addressed changes to roofing regulations.
Work on the town’s fiscal budget started with a first reading. The total general fund expenses for 2026 will be $2,222,080 and in 2027, $2,258,832. Total fund Revenue for 2026 will be $2,776,061 and for 2027, $2,822,769.
Star Valley Ranch resident Stephanie Wardle was honored with the town’s “Ride for the Brand” award for March and April.
