Teton Pass closed after multi-vehicle crash

 

 

JACKSON (WNE) — Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Teton Pass near Trail Creek Road at milepost 7 Monday evening. At  9:00 p.m. Monday, the Wyoming Department of Transportation sent out a 511 alert announcing the closure. Officials said at 10 p.m. that there was no estimated reopening time. Motorists traveling to Jackson or Teton Valley were directed to detour through Alpine.

Jackson Hole Fire/EMS Battalion Chief Brain Coe said crews were treating eight patients involved in the crash. He reported no fatalities as of 10 p.m.

Teton County Fire and Rescue from Driggs, Idaho, and Grand Teton National Park provided additional ambulances, Coe said. There was one life flight helicopter on scene.

Teton Pass was reopened to traffic at 3:36 a.m. on Tuesday, according to 511 reports.
