Star Valley Arts Council seeking more board members ahead of new season starting in July

The Star Valley Arts Council is seeking more board members from the public ahead of the organization’s new season starting in July 2022.

Director of the Council, Tim Hale, says the board will meet next month about it and will meet with the public for input in June. He says if you want to serve as a volunteer or a member of the board now is the time to reach out. You also do not have to focus on all events, but can really put your energy into certain events.

“What we started working on is board members, one can say ‘Hey we’re doing this upcoming Halloween Extravaganza, I want that to be my event,'” Hale said. “As a director I focus on the bigger picture for the organization, but when we have an event coming up it’s ideal for a board member or two to step up.”

He says the focus is not necessarily on the number of events, but big events.

“Like the Halloween Extravaganza,” Hale said. “Really key events that are deep and impactful.”

He hopes to have a new executive director for the Council to replace him so there will be an individual who can put in the time he doesn’t have that the organization needs.

“We just invite the whole community to reach out,” Hale said.

You can get in touch by emailing them at starvalleyarts@gmail.com or you can reach out to Hale directly at 307-201-9514. You can also message them on Facebook and he says they will find a place for you no matter what capacity you desire to serve in.
